Im having one hell of a time with BIOS settings for this Giga q77m-d2h board.
Ive built literally hundreds of Windows machines but this is my first mac.

Out of the box I made a couple of BIOS changes, unfortunately I doth remember what I did.
In installed 10.9.2, ran Multibeast 6.2.1 and it worked! I had a GTX 480 in the machine and in no time had 3 monitors running. I was on my network and even loge in to an Win Server and read files.
OSX did an update and all was lost afterwards.

It was all down hill from there!!

2nd and all other times around I can’t get anything to work again!
Ive reinstalled Mavericks, followed the guides and read like crazy but nothing is working!

Ive removed the 480 and would be happy with the onboard HD graphics for now.
note: when booting from USB it takes a VERY long time, each time. Its an i7 1155
And sometimes it won’t boot at all, just sits and spins endlessly.

I need BIOS instructions, settings.
Im unfamiliar with these boards, its been a couple of years. Im old LOL!

SO. I got this machine running all day now!

I almost lost it at one point with the onboard video.
There is some very odd behaviors when attaching a second monitor.
If I boot with the second display connected, its slow and will NOT recognize the monitor as a “second” display and will only clone the two displays. If I disconnect it, shut down, start up again THEN plug in the HDMI cable it will behave normally. It will even remember the last display setup/desktops.

The VGA port does not work at all.

I also tried a GTX 480 I have. After plugging it in, NONE of the monitors will post on boot and I have no monitors connected to the GTX card. It interferes with the onboard video? Why?

Id like to have 3 monitors working but....

I'd also be willing to buy a newer video card specifically for this build but again...

:beachball:

Giga q77m-d2h, F2 BIOS
i7 1155
Samsung 840 SSD (500GB)
(2) 1TB WD SATA
(2) large hires monitors (Viewsonic and Samsung)

Such F-Upped behavior!!

Restarted this morning.
Ive restarted more than Dozen times and it will NOT display more than one monitor desktop. two monitors (DVI and HDMI) but ONLY as a mirror. System Display properties doesn't show two monitors.

I tried all different combination while booting. If I disconnect a monitor and boot, when playgoing it back in again it will NOT be recognized unless I restart and then back to only one monitor desktop.
It was working fine for hours then it not.
NO rime or reason, NO pattern.
Just random inconsistent behavior.

Anyone have anything to say? Add?

So I just tried using MultiBeast Features-6.2
Loaded the "Intel Graphics Patch for Mixed Configurations"
and the 1080p Display Mode

Rebooted and all came back up Normally!
BUT, I had that happen yesterday. We'll see.

Im now about to start editing video in Premier Pro CC for a weekly webcast I produce.

I installed a Giga [FONT=Consolas, monospace]GeForce GTX 650 Ti and NONE of the onboard video outputs work BUT all do on the GTX card. Very stable all day running Adobe CC Premier, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, multiple browsers and MS Office applications spread across 3 monitors. Smooth, fast and flawless.

Thanks to the Forum for all the help. peace.
