Hi

I recently overclocked my i7 5820K from stock 3.3GHz to 4.3GHz. So far the system is running very stable and i've gotten some quite noticeable speed improvements over all using Adobe's Creative Cloud suite. Here's my 32bit GeekBench Stock vs. Overclocked.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to get OSX Yosemite to recognise/display the overclocked speed of the CPU.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, I did exactly the same, having the same problem!
Bump.

If you are using clover, you should be able to just add 4300 in the frequency box for CPU in the clover configurator app.

From what I understand, if you change just the main CPU frequency and not the turbos then your OC will not display inside OS X. In order to see the proper frequency you have to change the turbo frequencies to your desired frequency. This solved my problem when it wouldn't show in the "About This Mac".
