I have a multi-boot setup where a drive with windows 8 on it was installed with the BIOS set to SATA RAID mode.
I can't modify this drive at all (last time I enabled the ACHI driver for windows something went awry and the drive got corrupted).
So to get multi-boot to work I need to make the OSX partition conform to RAID mode. To be clear there are no actual RAID setups, just single drives with SATA set to RAID mode in BIOS (as it came from manufacturer).
I can get OSX to see the drive (finally) by injecting the correct device ID for RAID mode.

The only problem now it seems is that chimera fails to boot the OSX drive with EBIOS error.

Is there a way to make Chimera see the drive in RAID mode properly and still keep my boot selector?

i would also like to know if there is a way around this.
