Geforce GT 610 - OOB in 10.8.2?

Hey Guys,

I'm just wondering if the GT 610 video card will work out of the box from 10.8.2?

I'm setting up a hackintosh for my parents and will send it overseas. As much as possible, I don't want to have to tell my dad to type and edit some kext files

If not, what would be a very cheap video card I can use?

Will the Geforce 210 be more friendly?

Not sure if it's fixed in 10.8.2. I did this fix for Eelhead for 10.8.

Thanks for info. I think that will do. I'll just use the older kext if 10.8.3 or so becomes available for update. I would probably use logmein/teamviewer hopefully it does not KP or boot to black screen

How about Geforce 210? Could that be better?

I've been googling around hard it is just .. it looks like no one uses these video cards. HCL looks like it is compatible but I'm just looking for the easiest one when an update happens.

I actually know that both will work, im just looking for a cheap that is a hassle free when osx updates.

The Kext has to be 10.8.2 specific. This one works. I use it.

Oh well .. I'll just tell them not to update.

Something came up .. the gt 620 is $14 after rebate today at 1pm. I dunno if I should go now for 610 or 620. I know its more powerful .. But osx compatibily is priority for me. Actually the 620 is cheaper!
