Okay just installed Mavericks and after deleting all TB-related kexts my bootup only takes a few seconds...

I'm thinking the reason why I can't get 10.8.5 to boot nearly as fast is because I'm using the integrated GPU? Mavericks has an option which allows for z97 IGPU support and the version of Multibeast that I use for 10.8.5 (5.5.5) does not.

I guess I will try installing a graphics card to see if that helps with the situation.

In the meantime, any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Was able to install Yosemite 10.10.4 on the same build - and just like Mavericks, bootup happens in seconds after deleting all TB-related kexts..

Will install Windows next to test TB-functionally then try a couple graphics cards to see if there's any more love to be had with this build and Mountain Lion..
