GA-Z87N-WIFI, 4600 Graphics, DVI output has limited resolution...fix?

So this is where I gave up months ago, I was hoping there was a fix by now, either for Mavericks or Yosemite. Cant get higher than 1920x1200x32, I use a 2560 x 1600 monitor.

Never happen; hardware limit, see motherboard graphics/DVI spec.

FIX--I keep forgetting that most of these video problems are caused by cables...the problem was that the DVI cable was one of those without the full compliment of pins. HDMI cables have similar limitations.
