GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Audio Issues (Mavericks)

Ever since I installed Mavericks, I've been getting a very odd glitch with my audio. Whenever I play a youtube video in Chrome, after roughly five minutes of the video playing, the audio becomes scratchy, and quickly turns very distorted. This only happens in Chrome, not Firefox. Pausing and restarting the video after a couple of seconds does nothing, but if I wait about a minute and then play the video again, the audio is back to normal. The issue is pretty persistent, and hasn't gone away with different system definitions, nor by deleting/reinstalling the audio driver.

Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions how to solve it?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
