This is my first Hackintosh build. I followed the tonymac install directions here:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

And the UEFI config instructions here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/99-quick-guide-configuring-uefi-gigabyte-s-7-series-lga-1155-boards.html

For MultiBeast I followed Alfa's guide as much as I could, the updated MultiBeast looked slightly different:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...s-gigabyte-ga-z77x-up5-th-thunderbolt-32.html I'll try to remember exactly what I did in MultiBeast and post a screenshot.

After initial Config, I went and installed Windows 7. Once complete, I loaded up the UniBeast USB stick, booted into OSX, and reinstalled the Chimera Bootloader. One thing, I don't know if it I could really say it ISN't working, but I can't run BootCamp or do BootCamp related stuff. I would like to setup a VM of my Win7 install, but I'm having trouble there. I'll try to get more details.

Bluetooth: I have been having wake from sleep issues, they might stem from the bluetooth, but my USB wireless mouse wasn't waking it either.I have also been experiencing mouse lag with the Magic mouse, I am guessing this has to do with the Bluetooth. My Logitech wireless USB mouse/keyboard have been working without issue.

I Love this Apple mouse, but if it isn't responsive, it's too frustrating to use.

I have yet to install the 550Ti. I see others have had issues so I want to work out the kinks and then try to get that rolling.

Overclocking will come once I'm stable-ish. I want to focus on getting things running right before I start to get tricky. But I should have plenty of headroom with this Thermaltake cooler.

The Antec 900 Two is no longer in stock, It's a fantastic case, though. I have been very pleased with it for years, but I look forward to the fun challenge of modding this here old G5 case.

PS, how do I delete old attachments?

Issues:
Parallels doesn't seem to be working, I can't access my Win7 installation. I will try making a VM using a disk image and see how that goes.

8/24/2012 When I woke up today I had an issue where it wasn't waking from sleep mode.

*UP5 TH + 3570k & Intel 330 SSD, G5 Powermac Case

Curious what kind of bench mark you get with the i-5. I'm debating between the I-7 and I-5.

Thanks!

Here are the preliminary benchmarks, with stock speeds, I will update once I am overclocked. Looking at the comparisons, for the price the 3570K is the best deal out there, but for another 110$ you get a hearty performance increase. I am happy with my choice, as these marks put it up there with the top end macs. And it looks like I am getting better than average marks, I am guessing due to the Intel 330 SSD and this bossy GA-Z77X-UP5 TH... I think it's gonna overclock like a dream.

thanks for the heads up. I agree, a little over clock and you'd be flying!
