Hi all!

I have a ga-z77x-ud5h 3770k, M4, using HD4000 graphics.

I can install 10.8.1 fine. However, after Multibeast, it hangs at boot.

Right now it's hanging at macx_swapon SUCCESS

I've chosen 898 realtek drivers, graphicsEnable=no, install bootloader, and that's it.

Any ideas? Obviously it is not the macx_swapon causing the error, it is whatever comes after.

Thanks!

FakeSMC:

FakeSMC.kext is the only absolutely mandatory kext, and is required for booting the system. Original by netkas, new branch by Project OS X. Installs FakeSMC.kext in /System/Library/Extensions/.

@kdvernay

He has Fakesmc. If he did not he would never have gotten to mac swapon success.

@chemdream78

Did you see Waiting for DSMOS or DSMOS has arrived

Hey there. It's not in front of me now, but I will check for that.

No matter what I do, it seems like it won't boot afterwards.

I'll check that out asap. Thanks!

Is it possible there is something in my bios that I should be disabling? It's in AHCI mode.

Dual bios enabled.

I looked at blogs and set bios settings just like everyone elses.

Only using the built in intel graphics.

I actually tried to install Protools HD 8 software before multibeat one time... at the end of the install it totally froze and wouldn't reboot. heh.

I really don't know what I could be doing wrong. I mean other people have this exact same MB with exact same HD and have it working with Multibeast...

I've seen many post of people not choosing Easybeast or User DSDT, and choosing Bootloader only...

kduvernay, you were right!

Not using either DST or Easy worked! Just Bootloader.

It did say it failed, but it seemed like it worked.

I didn't install any other drivers, so I need to start over again and do that.

What mac do you guys suggest I set it to emulate so I get higher resolution?

Thanks again!

On another note,

this does lead me to ask a question that no other Noob has asked.

How is ML booting properly the first time, but doesn't boot correctly again unless you use multibeast?

IE: what is changing in that time?
