GA Z77X-UD5H CPU not recognized

Hi all,
This is my third build and I am stumped. Gigabyte GA Z77X-UD5H, i7 3770 and the CPU is not recognized. It will only boot in Safe Boot. What causes this? My BIOS firmware is version 14. I notice there are 2 newer versions but they are beta. Is there a hardware problem? I've tried different boot flags etc to no avail. Anyone have the answer?

*SOLVED* Didn't use EasyBeast therefore FakeSMC wasn't installed.

"FakeSMC.kext is the only absolutely mandatory kext, and is required for booting the system."

Duh
