ga-z68xp-ud3 mobo
gigabyte hd 6850 graphics card
16gig site recommended corsair ram
850 watt corsair psu
intel i5 3.11 ghz site recommended processor

where i'm at.
boot0: GPT
boot0: test
boot0: test
boot0: GPT
boot0: test
boot0: test
boot0: error_
and system hangs. i can still boot in safe mode from flash drive.

what i've done.
(the bios/cmos is confusing me as to what version it is.
when i hit the tab button is says 6.0
during boot it says 1.3 -(that happens to be my mobo revision #)).

i loaded optimized defaults
changed boot order. cd-hd-then usbhdd
changed pch sata contol mode to ahci
changed gsata3 ctrl mode to ahci
changed init display first to pcie x16
save and exit

only 4 of 16 gig of ram installed
2tb wd hd connected to (blue) sata2 2 port
both sony dvd roms disconnected
amd radeon in pcie x16 slot
generic dell usb mouse and apple thin usb keyboard (on separate usb ports).

after making my unibeast flash drive i could only get to install screen in safe (-x) mode.
i installed after partition (guid) and format macosx journaled.

at the multi beast stage i copied skirk08's Build settings (viewtopic.php?t=47830&p=300146) and i tried f1-f8 versons of the dsdt's and all result in the above error.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
hondo

This worked for me:

Large hard drive (4k sector issue)
Because I use a large hard drive with a 4k sector, booting from the hard drive will throw a boot0 error. This can be solved.
- boot from the USB, choose to boot from hard disk with boot option "-s"
- type "fsck -fy" and wait to complete
- we need to change the boot1h
- this sample assume the hard drive is disk0 and the OSX partion is s2 (!!!!)

- to change the boot1h type:
cd /usr/standalone/i386
fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk0
dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s2
fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0
p
f 2
w
y
exit
cp boot /
chflags hidden /boot
reboot
(thanks to Karacho and Going Bald - can't find the post anymore)

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!! :headbang:

what i've done.
(the bios/cmos is confusing me as to what version it is.
when i hit the tab button is says 6.0
during boot it says 1.3 -(that happens to be my mobo revision #)).

fixed this issue by plugging in a pc keyboard and remembering my 7th grade computer class command of Pause/Break during the post screen to halt the boot and read the fl bios header. It's spelled out plain as day "z68xp-ud3 f-8".
so i opted for the "f-8" dsdt when i gt to that step.

i loaded optimized defaults
changed boot order. cd-hd-then usbhdd
changed pch sata contol mode to ahci
changed gsata3 ctrl mode to ahci
changed init display first to pcie x16

changed hpet to64
save and exit

hp monitor connected to hdmi on radeon card

after making my unibeast flash drive i could only get to install screen in safe (-x) mode.
i installed after partition (guid) and format macosx journaled.

went back and created 2-1 gig partitions (still GUID) one fat 32 and the other mac osx journaled.

then installed win 7 on the fat 32.

still had to safeboot (-x) to run installer from unibeast.
i then downloaded the 10.7.3 update from apples website and installed that.
after the update was finished and BEFORE restarting i ran multibeast.

at the multi beast stage i copied skirk08's Build settings (viewtopic.php?t=47830&p=300146) and i used the f8 version of the dsdt
then rebooted.

System hung so i tried the "GraphicsEnabler=No" flag and it booted right up.
ran multibeast again and selected "64bit GraphicsEnabler=No". rebooted
and all is well :D .
I've set my bios to boot the flash drive first, and am content to use this setup for now.
gonna dig up an old hd and run through it again with a solitary lion setup.

many many thanks to the whole community,

With "GraphicsEnabler=No" you will have trouble with some apps, for example DVD Player. Try running Multi Beast again and select GraphicsEnabler=YES. Your card should work in Lion and with latest Chimera.
