I don't have a board as old as yours but on my oldest board the settings are :
BIOS Features - OS Type - Boot Mode Selection. (I have to scroll down to see it).
There should be three choices - UEFI Only, Legacy or UEFI and Legacy.
As your previous install was with a non-UEFI BIOS you should choose Legacy here or UEFI and Legacy.
