Motherboard
Asus X99-M WS
CPU
Xeon E5 V3 12C
Graphics
GTX 750Ti
Mac
  1. Mac Pro
Mobile Phone
  1. iOS
finally i succedded to have it working with 10.9 (still no audio) but i have many issues or maybe cosmetics issues (?),
in about my CPU recognised as Xeon 6 cores is it normal? my RAM recognised as 1333 when NOT chosen xmp profile in BIOS, when chosen profile one (to have the full speed) the RAM is "0"
my board is X79 but the system recognise my chip set as C600...Geekbench score I'm getting is very low...
USB 3.0 recognised; how to check real speed of the ports??
the Audio is recognised as intel HD but no sound (i have external USB for now)
see attached pictures from my system...

BTW, network is working only with DSDT file, this DSDT file I've used to enable audio :) but then network was working only...
Anyone can help me to understand better how to fix everything and make the system 100% function?

Can you please tell me what boot flags you used when you initially installed osx?

Same here please, Ive been trying for 6 months to get an ASUS P9x79 Pro working and finally binned that Motherboard and have replaced it with a GA-X79-UP4, but cannot get this to boot from the drive at all?

I manged to get it installed using npci=0x2000 cpus=1 -f but even using the same flags I cannot get it to boot from the drive at all...

I think I am going to have to give up with the 2011 chipset and bin this too...

Chris

hi Ergot
sorry but i need help :)

i Hvae the same setup:
UP4 with 4930K
i taped a lot of boot flags, but impossible to install Mavericks with the unibeast.
Black screen or grey apple stuck...
i'm lost :(
i tried more differennt combination like -v -x cpus=1 npci=0x3000 (2000) GraphicsEnabler=No etc....
thanks in advance to help me

I have the Same build i think, I finally narrow it down to the bootflags

-v npci=0x3000 cpus=1 -f

They WORK... BUT you just have to wait until all the lines go away... wait... black screen... wait.... wait.. grey screen... wait... and like 10minutes after the last line of text is gone... you will get the installer window... believe me this is it... and a lot of waiting.

Hope it works:

I Just did this guide SUCCESS !!! Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 + Intel 4930k 3.4ghz + GTX 780 Mavericks 10.9.2
