Hi i started today with my osx build (10.6.7). The System:

i5 2500k
ga-p67a-ud4 b3
ati 6870

Clean install, MultiBeast 3.4, BridgeHelper 2.0

Everything just works perfect. Sound, VGA excepting the NIC. I tried everything i could imagine.

hoping there is someone who can help me.

(the kernel is loading without any flags. maybe thats the problem... but i have not so much experience.

This is what i get on booting...
Code:

I have the same problem, I have even tried manual kexts installs from the realtek website. I got it working before a restarted buy installing this kext. When you drop it into kext utility it will finished done and if you wait a few minutes the network pop up appears and you can set up the ethernet. also if you look it will be in the system profiler. If you then restart for any reason it will disappear and not matter what install I try does not work again without a fresh install of SL. If someone can solve this would be great. I did notice one thing my -v boot load screen shows the lnx2mac Realtek kexts before install of SL how is this possible before the install of the OS ? Hope that kexts works for you : )

@keypox

i didn't tryed it yet. Without LAN i can't do 90% of my work, so i invested my hole work in getting the nic working.

@ stylusrowm

i'll give it a try. I hope it will be working! If i get some new information, i'll give you a post.

thx

Any update on this problem? Did you get it resolved? I'm having exactly the same problem.

mobo: GA-H67MA-USB3-B3

Thanks in advance.

We found that you need the official Realtek driver for the NIC on the UD4-B3 board. You can get it from Realtek's website or now you can use the new Multibeast.

viewtopic.php?f=81&t=18641&p=118766#p118766 - see the bottom of tony's post.

NOTE: Some Gigabyte Boards have updated 8111E, and need the Official Realtek Driver 2.0.6. Now available in MultiBeast 3.5.0.

...

I tried the Realtek drivers and found that they are unreliable with Bonjour. When i start up Transmission, no bonjour services are detected. However, with the drivers posted earlier in this thread, I have no such problems.

It worked for a day, after making this post, I discovered the same behavior with BOTH drivers.

I wish Lnx2Mac issues a fix for these new 8111E chips soon.
Unless Lion will take care of that... :?:

So what are others doing about this 8111E problem? Using the Realtek or built-in drivers on 10.7.1 work for a hot minute, enough to get a DHCP address, but then everything appears to go to ****, pings fail, no arp responses, and in general nothing works. The lnx2mac drivers barf with an unrecognized hardware error of course. Should I just buy another Ethernet card?

I look forward to the new version! In the meantime I have a 10/100 USB Ethernet adapter working fine. Thanks.
