GA-P55M-UD2 - Audio Issue - Popping Noise

finally got everything 100% last night and then i discovered a weird issue. my speakers are making a weird popping noise every once in a while. i am unable to replicate the sound every time, but here is one scenario: sometimes when i adjust the volume via the task bar volume slider, it makes a "pop" noise before it makes the proper "blip" noise.

i installed my audio kexts via multibeast: ALC887/ALC888b.

any ideas?

I think its related to imac smbios if I remember correctly.
try using macpro smbios instead and see if it helps.

Thanks Pink_Waters, I had the audio popping issue like the OP and changing the smbios seems to have done the trick.

Could be also related to your BIOS version...
On the P55M-UD4 some experienced this on F8, but got solved with F9.
