Everything works except I'm having a problem with my SATA DVD burners. They work inconsistently. For example I can use the DVD drive, but can't eject the DVD either through software or with the button on the drive. My SATA device tree shows "Unknown AHCI Standard Controller" for my sata devices in system profiler.

Under "disk-burning" I sometimes get the spinning ball of death.. :beachball:

Any Ideas. I have a GA-P35-DS3L running firmware F9.. Using AHCI mode.

Not sure if sleep is working well either...

Well just a suggestion, there is Specific kexts you can install for SATA drives (DVD Drives) If i remember correctly, if not, try booting in regular IDE mode, I remember that helping me out once.

Anyways hope it helps :)

Is your DVD Drive SATA? You can use the JMICRON Kexts I believe those are what Gigabyte uses. I had the same exact problem you have, I couldn't even install programs sometimes... All I did though was to buy an ASUS $24 DVD drive from Frys and I have burned Hundreds of DVD's with no problems.
