Hi Guys,

I' about to build me Customac neither of the above motherboards are in Australia. I'm looking at ripoff-bay and can get both but at a premium. From the forums here, I can see and have read that the difference is one is overclock capable and the other not. The specs of the boards are the same apart from chipset.

So is it just o/c vs no o/c and will they both build fine with customac?

Cheers

Willosy

PS:- Can I dual boot Windows 7 natively using boot camp (ML) and both O/S on the same HDD?

Fantastic, thank you.

In your guide you say to format as exFat. I there any reason for that? Can I format as NTFS and add NTFS drivers to ML like I do for SL?
Format the partition ExFAT if you are using a large volume HDD. Reason for this is file structure alignment on large volume drives. If using a SSD, format it MSDOS FAT32. There is no way to format the partition NTFS in OS X disk utility, so you wait and let the windows installer format it NTFS. If you try to install without this step it will pop up a screen telling you it can't be installed on your SSD/HDD.

What CPU do you plan to use and do you intend to try for audio over HDMI?

HI Mate and Thank you for your replies,

I plan to use the recommended CPU either i5-3570 or i5-3570K.

NO plans to use HDMI as yet as my monitor doesn't support it, just stereo via 2.5mm plug to stereo amp.

I also plan to use nVidia GT 640.

Syba Firewire card

Cheers

Willo

PS:- Just out of curiosity, how well would this setup work with Lion OOB?? Might have to use an earlier version of audio workbench which hampers my OSX version.

Planning for Mountain Lion, but I may have to settle for Lion

Because of the GT640 Lion won't work. There's no support for GTX6xx cards.
