Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-5* On Process of Installation...

Im on the process of installation right now...
Last Night, it took me 3 hours just by simply building the PC....

The Hardware:
I had hard time installing the parts due to the huge space taken by the Scythe Yasha CPU Cooler. It took me a lot of time also because I rearranging the cables properly, for cleaner look.

The MAC OS X Installation:

1st: Prepared the iBoot Supported CD, Snow Leopard Retail DVD...

2nd: BIOS Setup...
---Updated the Bios Firmware version to the Latest which is ver. 8
---Setup Bios:
>>> Advanced BIOS Features > First Boot Device = CDROM / Second Boot Device = Hard Disk / Third Boot Device = USB-HDD
>>>Integrated Peripherals > PCH SATA Control Mode = ACHI / Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode = AHCI.
>>>Power Management Setup > HPET Mode = 64-bit mode

3rd: Installing MAC OS X
---Booted Using iBoot Supported. At the loader, remove iBoot supported CD and place Snow Leopard Retail DVD, wait a few seconds, and press F5

* Problems No.1 I got kernel panic after placing the Snow Leopard Retail DVD and pressing any key... What I did wrong was i forgot to "wait a few seconds, and press F5"

4th: The Installation proper:
>>>Language Selection = US English (only option for me).
>>>Partitioned the drive, Application Folder, opened Utilities > Disk Utility.
- Select the disk drive > Volume Scheme > Select 1 Partition
- Entered a name for the partition ("Hackintosh")
- Format >Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
- Clicked Options = GUID Partition Table.
After all the selection... Apply... Formating in progress...
Then quitted the Disk Utility...
>>>Started the Installation Process... Restart

5th: Update to 10.6.4 and Multibeast
>>> Booted back using iBoot Supported, then downloaded the MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.4.dmg, Multibeast and the custom DSDT.aml from the DSDT database for GA-H55M-USB F8 and placed the file from the Desktop.
>>>After downloading them all, runed Multibeast but stop from there.
>>>Installed the 10.6.4 Update, after the installation continued with the Multibest.
>>>Options Selected:
- UserDSDT
- System Utilities
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > LegacyHDA > ALC889
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Graphics > Enablers > NVEnabler
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Network > Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet > RealtekR1000SL
- Advanced Options > Optional Kernel > 10.6.4 Supported Kernel
- smbios.plist > Mac Pro > iCore i7
>>> Installed
>>> After the Update and MultiBeast, restarted...

* Problem No.2 : Boots on the the Chameleon, then suddenly restart...
I'm currently here right now and haven't solve te problem yet... :'(

HELP anyone... :(

Yup, I bought long ago. Used for updating my Macbook. :)

---After the Update + Multibeast, restarted...

* Problem No.2 : Boots on the the Chameleon, then suddenly restart over and over again on Chameleon...
I'm currently here right now and haven't solve te problem yet... :'(

HELP anyone... Where did I go wrong?

Booted again Using iBoot Supported
-Deleted "Extra" folder at the root drive
-Tried MultiBeast again, no Luck. Also tried Different selections, no luck :(
-Deleted "Extra" folder at the root drive
-Tried EasyBeast, no luck again. :(

Problem Fixed:
Booted using iBoot Supported, since this is the only way for me to get back at the Mac OS X and re-run Multibeast to install proper Drivers/Kexts.
- Deleted "Extra" folder at the root drive (Very Important, I guess)
- re-downloaded MacOSXUpdate10.6.4.dmg, Multibeast, and DSDT.aml
- Open MultiBeast- didn't run it yet and leaved it open
- Install MacOSXUpdate10.6.4.dmg, and didn't restart.
- Back to Multibeast, Options Selected:
> UserDSDT
> System Utilities
> Advanced Options > Kexts > Audio > LegacyHDA > ALC889
> Advanced Options > Kexts > Graphics > Enablers > NVEnabler
> Advanced Options > Kexts > Network > Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet > RealtekR1000SL
> smbios.plist > Mac Pro > iCore i7
- Install and restart... SUCCESS!!!

From what I see, what i did wrong is I think that I've selected this option:
> Advanced Options > Optional Kernel > 10.6.4 Supported Kernel (which is wrong, i guess)

Currently at the testing phase...
So far, Sleep/Wake working...

Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-6* SUCCESS Installation, TestingPhase :)

I think, my Post needed to be moved in the "User Build Section" :)

Anyways...
NETWORK: Built-In LAN - Fixed!
>>> Deleted /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekR1000SL.kext
>>> Run Multibeast and selected this options
- System Utilities
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Network > Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet > RealtekR1000SL
- Restart
>>> Run Multibeast again and selected this options
- System Utilities
- Advanced Options > Kexts > Network > Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet > RealtekRTL8169
- Restart
SUCCESS!!!

*BTW, I think it might work if i directly installed Realtek RTL8169 rather than going thru that long process... :)

You can delete /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekR1000SL.kext since you are using official Realtek driver now.

Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-6* SUCCESS Installation, TestingPhase :)

Additional Info gather...

USB 3.0 not yet supported so it won't work yet...

Also found out that Quartz Extreme and Core Image (QE/CI) for display is already working. Pre-edited DSDT Database not needed to be edited since it is already enabled.

Now working around the AUDIO Lines...

Also a question: (Help Please)
1. Why is the Hard Drive detected as an External Drive? Is there a work around for it to be identified as Internal drive?

Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-6* SUCCESS Installation, TestingPhase :)

About Audio... ALC889
I found out that if you boot into safe boot, thru iBoot.
Enables:
Line Out - Green Line Out --- OK!
Line Out - Orange Line C/Sub --- Not Tested (Probably OK!)
Line Out - Gray Line Side --- OK!
Line Out - Black Line Rear --- OK!

But Booting Normally after installing it's proper kexts thru Multibeast
Enables:
Line Out - Green Line Out --- OK! (This one is the only one working)
Line Out - Orange Line C/Sub --- Not!
Line Out - Gray Line Side --- Not!
Line Out - Black Line Rear --- Not!

Any Solutions for this?

Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-6* SUCCESS Installation, TestingPhase :)

I've done some overclocking but I think it's not working well...
Sometimes when I open up the PC, keyboard doesn't respond, so i can't get to enter into the BIOS Setup and hungs up at the blue screen after the White background w/ Apple Logo.

BIOS Setup done:
I've just set The BCLK to 160MHz and that's it. Maybe it's got something to do with the DRAM Voltage.. :/

Re: H55M-USB3 *Update-6* SUCCESS Installation, TestingPhase :)

I've just set back all the BIOS Setup to default...
I still got some errors when booting up:

Same as before. I must have a faulty hardware.. not sure what? :'(

I can't get the my G.Skill memory to run at 1600Mhz either...
Makes me depress... :'(

Bought myself an extra drive to install win7, followed this instructions...
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4186
But still got some issues, posted it there in the Link.

Hope you can help me... I've been reading and reading. Can't get an accurate answers.. :'(
