GA-H55M-S2V Audio Not working after upgrade

I built a hackintosh for a client with

i3 540
GA-H55M-S2V
4gb ram
some nvidia card i forget. anyways.


they upgraded from 10.6.5 to 10.6.8 just through normal apple update.

now audio doesnt work, i tried deleting the audio kexts and reloading them through multibeast.

sugjestions?

i have the exact same board in my second Hac. navigate to system/library/extensions. in the search field, type HDA, delete ALL copies of any HDA kexts found. empty trash, repair permissions, reboot.
Run MultiBeast and select ONLY the universal VooDoo driver, 0.2.1, or whichever the first option in the sub-list is. use system utilities, and reboot.

If that doesn't work, post back and let me know. i may still have my old Gigabyte specific HDA kext on a flash drive.
