G74SX Help

Hey guys! I need help on installing Lion on my ASUS G74SX laptop. It's currently running 10.6.6 Snow Leopard alongside Windows 7 on two separate hard drives. I currently use iBoot as my boot manager. I tried the xMove Lion installation method but when I boot from the installer partition I get the \"ACPI\".\n"@/Extra/builds/xnu/xnu-1456.1.26/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1393 kernel panic. I've also tried the Flash Drive installation method but also a kernel panic. If anybody did succeed with the G74SX please help me. Thank You!

Hi,

I got the same notebook (A1 model) but can't make it work using iboot method. How did you install yours?

Hey!

Apparently nobody here in this forum could help so I spent two weekends figuring it out. I used this exact method http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=256729
with a 8GB flashdrive and it worked like a charm. I used this Chameleon boot loader - Public/Chameleon%20RC5.zip on the flash drive. Have fun!
