G1610 Celeron Cpu Asus gt610 2GB GPU no Audio

hi,

using a h61m hd2 Motherboard with a celeron g1610 gpu
the unit works fine, but for some reason the audio will not play from the asus gt610 2GB GPU

any ideas on what im doing wrong?

Did not mention what you tried, no idea.
Not to worry, AppleHDA.kext does not support GT 210 HDMI audio.

hi,

thank you for your reply, all i have actually done is fit the 2gb asus gt610 on the motherboard, i was under the impression that the sound would work naturally OOB, i have been looking at Mavericks: Audio realtek ALC AppleHDA threads and if im honest i am a complete novice, and i dont actually fully understand what to do, i have built a few hackintosh's over the years and this is the first time this has happened, is there a multibeast setting i can try? or a patch i can install?

My mistake, misread 610. To make the correct selections in MultiBeast, have to know exactly what is installed. This app reports what audio, graphics, network, etc. is installed: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dpcimanager/.

For audio, MultiBeast 6.4 or newer - Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > √ ALC 887 Current

this one is very confusing, i have done exactly what you have said, i can now see the volume on screen going up and down, but still no sound... any ideas?
