Hey guys,
I just couldn't stop laughing when I did a reboot after I installed
Mac OS X 10.6.3 again.
This is what happend: I got the very nice apple bootscreen after the 1 installation
step, waited for OSX to boot; then I heard the music from the OSX welcome video,
and then I heard a voice say: "welcome to Mac OS 10... Blablablabla" but, the bootscreen was still on and the loading icon was still loading.
Pressing buttons on the keyboard took affect, like pressing escape when the voice
says "press esc to continue setting up you're Mac"...
But nothing else happens.
So I did a reboot and tried to boot with PCIRootID=1 -v because
I got iBoot to boot into install DVD.
Sadly it didn't work. Osx hangs on this line:
"Refusing new kext com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily, v2.6: already have loaded v2.6.5.
EDIT: booting with -x gives an KP, booting normally the same error like the one from booting with -v.
You guys got any help on this one?
Thanks!
Grtz,
IT07.
