Problem persists after FakeSMC upgrade.

Trying to downgrade Ethernet driver. As per http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-would-collapse-then-crash-system-10-9-a.html

Downgrade to Hnak's AppleIntelE1000e.kext 2.4.14 didn't do it either. Still hang/freeze.



Any other ideas?

I've tried the Network downgrade as well (for the last day and a half), but no luck either.

I know this doesn't help you, but perhaps we can get more responses from the people who might know some other workarounds.

Note that serial number has been removed and I'm using SSDT patch for HDMI audio and running off wireless (not using ethernet).

This system works fine with 10.9 (however mine doesn't want to sleep & wake)

I've been running Prime95 (http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/) overnight. Which has kept the system running without any freezes.

What does that tell us?

I believe Prime95 loads only a CPU but not GFX subsystem. Weakest point of 10.9 is GFX functionality where I believe the issue lies.
Unlike previous OSes, 10.9 uses OpenGL a lot in GUI

But before the system has hung while being practically idle. Not running any applications, definitely not taxing the GPU.

Also try disabling C-States in org.chamellion.boot.plist and in the BIOS.
Saw this on one forum "Had to disable all C-states (C1E-C6-C7) to avoid freezes"
