Freezes copying large files

Hi All,

I am scratching my head at this one.

Have a hackintosh using all approved components.

When I copy a large amount of files say 300gb the system will get so far and then freeze, nothing will work unless I do a power off using the case button.

Any suggestions. I have checked all of my drives and they seem to be running well.

Hi, I had this problem a few weeks back. I was copying just over 700gig of movies and suddenly it would stop and the rest would not copy. I found that I had a corrupt file that was causing it.

Look to where you are transferring and the last one it succeeded, the next one may be the bad file. Copy the file and paste it and see if that causes the issue.

Just a suggestion.
