I installed a second internal HDD as my Time Machine drive last September. It was working fine until last week that the computer was stuck with a "slash" character on the screen after the flash boot screen but before Chameleon. It didn't happen when the HDD was unplugged. The HDD worked flawlessly when connected to a USB adapter.
Claimed the warranty to the HDD company, and they sent a replacement. However, the new HDD also has exactly the same problem.
I don't know what causes it. I didn't change the BIOS set up. Any clue?
The problematic HDD is a Toshiba 3.5" 2TB HDD, with GUID Partition Table, Mac OS Extended (journaled) and I am running 10.9.2, updated with MultiBeast 6.2.1.
