Hi all. This build is almost totally perfect, thanks to ReHabMan. Couple of small issues remain:
Fn keys are not correctly working and two finger gestures would be fantastic. I tried a few different touchpad kexts but still no joy.

Thanks

Which touchpad is in your laptop?

I cannot find out 100%. Google has links for elan driver for this model, but also has synaptics. Asus website also has both drivers on the page. In windows and osx its detected just as a usb mouse. I'll boot linux and see if that can help me identify it. I know it is capable of multi-touch input.

Thanks

(edit) its synaptics

I installed rehabman voodoo-ps2 still only detected as mouse. I'm guessing its a no go for multitouch...

Thanks.
Asus page has both and no info on which revision needs which driver. :-S

The elan drivers i've found do work, but barely. Clicks not recognised, no multitouch, no click and drag.
I've reverted back to apple ps2 drivers.

Update:
After trying several versions of elan touchpad driver i found one which works correctly on my system.
Emlydinesh 3.8.5. This one has no issues with out of control scrolling and non recognised clicks which were apparent on other versions.

That concludes my fiddling, this machine is 100% now. Many thanks. :headbang:

I have a problem ( Asus R500 i3-3210m , 16GB ram, HD4000 ) . After adding kext AsusNBFn.keys disappear DVD drive icon in the top bar . How do I remove the kext then everything comes back to normal. Can anyone help ? I Yosemite 10.10.5
