Flashed Gigabyte 6870 with XFX 6870 Black edition problem

Have flashed my Gigabyte 6870 Windforce (915/1050) with the XFX Black Edition (940/1150) bios. I`ve used atiflash installed on a bootable USB stick to do this.

This works great in Windows 7, but in OSX (10.7.3) the screen goes black after the grey apple logo boot screen.

I can boot from the HD 3000, and I`ve upgraded Chimera to 0.9.2, but no go. Same result.

I have flashed it back, and it works flawless again, but I would really make this work.

It is connected via DVI, and I use Gigabyte z68x mainboard.

Any suggestions?

I maybe wrong but Amd is not supporting

This is a good question. I have thought of flashing my gigabyte 6850 clocks (820/1050) to 6870 clocks (900/1100), but I have not done it because of reading stories like this, plus the speed difference is not noticable, more of a "just for kicks" kinda thing.
