Hey guys,

Thinking about building my first hackintosh, spent all day looking up parts. Was hoping to get some feedback and some suggestions, i am a little nervous that i might screw it up haha. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Gonna be running OS X 10.7.2 Lion
I have all legitimate software, Snow Leopard disk, and App Store Lion.

Thanks again, really appreciate it!

If i can get cheaper with any of the parts for same performance or better, that would be awesome.

i feel pretty stupid now, i just saw this pretty much exact build under the customac builds....my bad.

Most of those parts look OK. However, you didn't say what you were doing for graphics. I assume tat you plan to use integrated. If that is the case you should spend $20 more and buy the i5 2500K cpu. This cpu comes with the integrated HD 3000 GPU which is more powerful and better supported in OSX than the HD2000 GPU in the i5 2500. The 2500K also allows you to overclock in the future. IMO it is definitely worth the extra $20 if you can afford it.

You also asked for suggestions for the PSU. I would suggest almost anything from Corsair, Antec or Seasonic. Seasonic in particular are renowned for their quality and being extremely quite. I advise getting a PSU that is at least 550w that will leave you room for future upgrades.

Don't know about case. Antec and Cooler Master make some great value cases.

Thanks man, appreciate the suggestions and feedback :)

I have the Seasonic X-560 in my Hackintosh build and it's superquiet. Gets great reviews for stability and reliability too. They are quite expensive, but beautifully packaged!
