Hi everyone,

I'm currently building a Hackintosh that will support my 4k and sometimes 6k editing/colour grading workflow + a little bit of gaming. This is the first time I am going away from a Mac Pro. (I just find it's way too expensive for the power it gives me.)

My biggest concern is the GPU. Is it compatible with my build?

Thanks for the help and info everyone!

Here's the build that I am going for:

MOTHERBOARD:
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 LGA1151 Intel Z170 ATX DDR4 Motherboard

CPU:
Core i7-6700K

CPU COOLER:
Corsair H60 (Water)

GPU:
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb Gaming

RAM:
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (32GB) 2X16GB

DRIVE:
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

PSU:
Corsair RM 650x Watt

CASE:
Corsair Carbide 300R

ACCESSORIES:
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4 GHz 450 Mbps/5 GHz 450 Mbps, Include Low Profile Bracket, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

*I opened a thread in the Desktop Compatibility section but wasn't sure if it really fell in that category because I don't have all the parts yet.

1080 Ti's are compatible, but I could not find that specific model on the Buyer's Guide. The
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition card seems similar to the card you want.
Here is the Newegg link.

Yeah I was looking at this one too.

I was mostly wondering if anyone had experience with a hackintosh build and this specific GPU. I'll check the differences between the 2 tonight and let you know what works out once I completed the build!

Thanks for the help!
