Hi everyone,

I'm currently building a Hackintosh that will support my 4k and sometimes 6k editing/colour grading workflow + a little bit of gaming. This is the first time I am going away from a Mac Pro. (I just find it's way too expensive for the power it gives me.)

My biggest concern is the GPU. Is it compatible with my build?

Thanks for the help and info everyone!

Here's the build that I am going for:

MOTHERBOARD:
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 LGA1151 Intel Z170 ATX DDR4 Motherboard

CPU:
Core i7-6700K

CPU COOLER:
Corsair H60 (Water)

GPU:
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb Gaming

RAM:
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (32GB) 2X16GB

DRIVE:
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

PSU:
Corsair RM 650x Watt

CASE:
Corsair Carbide 300R

ACCESSORIES:
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4 GHz 450 Mbps/5 GHz 450 Mbps, Include Low Profile Bracket, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Your system should be compatible and you should be able to install mac OS Sierra.
Follow the Unibeast guide from @tonymacx86 to install mac OS on your PC: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.200564/

Skylake is natively supported, so you´re good to go with the i7-6700K.
You should get your Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080Ti working with the latest Nvidia Web Drivers.
Downloads are available here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/nvidia-drivers/

The audio chipset of your board is Realtek ALC 1150, you should get it working using the kexts and drivers from Multibeast.
See here: http://www.multibeast.com/

With the Samsung 850 Evo you´re good to go, I also use the same drive and it works fine with OS X El Capitan and mac OS Sierra.

I don´t know if the TP Link WLAN is compatible, because I always used etherent on mac OS,but maybe this two threads could be helpful for you: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ini-cards-pcie-and-mini-pcie-adapters.147734/ and https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.104850/

Awesome! Thanks a bunch for the help! Appreciate it!

Really excited to get started on the build itself. Should be able to work on it this weekend or next week.

Cheers!
