They will work with Lion, but not with Snow Leopard.

Exactly which parts will not work with Snow Leopard? How would I install Lion if I cant install Snow Leopard first?

The the northbridge and the CPU - there is no support at this time in Snow Leopard for the z77 northbridge nor the ivy bridge cpu.
