If you are going to use a 7 series mainboard, you should use a 7 series CPU. On Newegg, the i7 3770 is $15 less than the i7 2600

and it has HD4000 graphics.

If you didn't notice mate, I live in the UK, and I'm able to get an i7 2600 for £80 cheaper than a 3770.

Does it really matter, since I'm using a Gigabyte GTX 660 and is this Graphics Card compatible with Hackintosh'es since I don't see it on the compatible list.

Will the HD 3000 work on the z77 motherboard.

OK, failed to see that. Yes, the 2600 will work on the Z77 board. HD3000 will work with some extra finagling with kexts to be added with MultiBeast, but since you are using a GPU it shouldn't matter.

If your 660 has one of the chips listed here http://www.tonymacx86.com/252-10-8-2-brings-complete-native-support-nvidia-gf100-gf110-gk104.html then there is no problem with the 660 and you can use the latest drivers for it - http://www.tonymacx86.com/257-nvidia-releases-mountain-lion-10-8-2-graphics-drivers.html and it will work OOB.

If it has the Gk107 chip it will not work as well and you might have problems getting full resolution and QE/CI

I'll have to go with the 670 version then, thanks!
