Hello all,

I am trying to build a hackintosh for my gf for christmas present, she mainly uses it for general surfing, videos watching and Adobe Lightroom for photo editing but all those will be install on the Windows 7.

Here is parts I am looking at:

CPU: i5-4440
MOBO: gigabyte H97N mITX
RAM: 8gbs or 16gbs
Video Card:EVGA GeForce GT 740 (http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gt-740-superclocked-7f-97875-1374.htm)
SSD: Crucial M500 x 2 ( 1 for W7 and 1 for Mac)

My only concern is the video card if that is compatible for a hackintosh.

Thanks!!

I would go for ASUS Z97I-PLUS - it has mini-pcie half-size AzureWave AW-CE123H card (Broadcomm a/b/g/n/ac WiFi + bluetooth) onboard and an M.2 slot for realy fast SDD - you can then add a low-profile GT740 card (I have one from Palit) and fit everything in the smallest mini-itx case you can find.

Ok, thanks for the advice!

I'll probably get the newer bitfenix Prodigy case since she needs a dvd drive, 2 hdds and 2 sdds. I am just waiting for Black Friday sales and see what's there and hopefully I can get it all setup on time for christmas! [h=3][/h]
