This is my first build and I am wondering if anyone can go over the parts I picked. I plan on dual booting both windows 7/8 (havent decided) and Apple OS X Mavericks 10.9.3. I plan on using this for school (Computer Science Major) and for gaming. Just to make sure that they are compatible and that they should work. I was iffy on choosing the samsung SSD because I watched some videos on Youtube and some people did not recommend them should I use a samsung SSD or choose a different brand? Also I did spend some time looking into a ASUS motherboard with my setup but did not really find a definite answer. I am wary on using an ASUS because on this website they are not recommended at all. I do favor the look of a ASUS bios than that of a Gigabyte BIOS. Please leave your comments and recommendations.

The build looks fine to me and should work well for you.
For the Samsung drives, I highly recommend the 840 Pro versions. For normal mainstream usage, the EVO should work just as well.
Asus boards work as well as Gigabyte now that they have unlocked the MSR bit that was causing KP's previously. The only thing to remember is that you have to put your boot file and your /Extra folder in the EFI partition or use Clover - an extra step and probably why they did not make the recommended list. There are several Asus builds by forum members in the User Builds and Golden Builds - just use the forum search with the model of the board you are considering as the keyword to se if anyone used the board. I personally have used the Asus P8Z77-I Pro and the Sabertooth Z77 in successful builds.
