I've been looking around for a while and been decided i wanted to start on a hackintosh build in a Powermac G5 case.

I've ordered the micro ATX set from thelaserhive, and been looking around for which parts I would use for my build. I've never build a pc before so am not sure if i'm missing something obvious. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

My potential buy list:

Motherboard:
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING (WI-FI AC)

Graphicscard:
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB
or
maybe an Nividia card like: Nvidia GTX 980 TI Graphics card

CPU:
i7-7700 or i7-7700K

Ram:
G.Skill TridentZ 16GB DRR4 3000Mhz

Cooling:
Corsair H75

SSD:
Samsung 960 EVO 500 GB M.2

HD:
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB

Powersupply:
Corsair Builder CX650M

Wifi-card:

This is what I've got down atm but not sure what I should change or maybe could improve.

That MB needs a 8th gen cpu, i7-8700 or i7-8700k
The Evo makes a good boot drive, I use a 256gb model
RX 580 is the most compatible gpu right now, can't go wrong with that. I use a gigabyte model with no problems.
I also used the laserhive kit, great product!

Thank you very much for your replay dfritchie,

So for the cpu I would be able to use an 'i5 8600k'?

Also i've been thinking what kind of cooling I should get. Is it recommended to just use air cooling? Like which one would be easy to us, quiet and with a 120mm fan.

Other than that I think I know which parts im going to use.

The i5 will work also, if going air cooling look into the be quiet fans. If you plan on overclocking the cpu, I would research water cooling.
