I'm trying to install OS X Mavericks on my build with the following specs:

Intel Core i5-2500K
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB(with WiFi card plugged in)
Corsair XMS RAM at 1600 MHz

I've got a Corsair Carbide cabinet with a FireWire port(if that helps).

These are the steps I followed for the installation:

1. Install OS X using a MacBook Air - I am unable to install directly using my build due to graphics mismatch issue
2. Using MultiBeast, install Graphics Configuration Mismatch patch under graphics
3. Boot on Hackintosh. Graphics works exceptionally, boots using the UniBeast drive. \
4. Install MultiBeast

This is my MultiBeast Config:

Drivers -> Audio -> Realtek -> AL898
Drivers -> Graphics -> Mix Config Patch
Drivers -> Misc -> FakeSMC v6.9.1315
Drivers -> Misc -> NullCPUPowerManagement
Drivers -> Network -> Atheros -> AtherosLc 1.2.3
Drivers -> Network -> Intel -> AppleIntelE1000e v 3.0.4.1a
Bootloaders -> Chimera
Customize -> Boot Options -> Basic Boot Options

Here's a picture: http://www.tonymacx86.com/members/themacguy/albums/sandy-pro/99442-multibeast-config.png

It picks up the Mac Pro system definition by default, and I let it stay at that.

After this, I get a boot0 error, and I did this to get it fixed:

dd if=/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/disk1s2

After this, when I try booting via Chimera, I get this error:

firewire runtime power conservation disabled (3)

If I try booting using my UniBeast stick, I get this instead:

vendor:device: 0x8086:0x1503
AppleIntelE100e(Info): Interrupt Throttling Rate (ints/sec) set to dynamic conservative mode
AppleIntelE100e(Info): changing MTU from 0 to 1500
Waiting on <dict ID="

At this point, my keyboard and mouse seem to get turned off, or at least their LEDs go off.

I tried another time before this, with the FakeSMC hardware monitoring plugins(or at least I remember it as FakeSMC), and when I did that, I got an error related to the hardware monitoring plugins instead.

Now, I've run Mavericks successfully on this build before, so I know this is supposed to work. I've not added or removed any hardware since, so there's no reason for it to error out due to changed hardware. I even made a post about my build here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...andy-pro-ga-z77x-ud5h-i5-2500k-hd-3000-a.html

The only change here is that earlier, I used OS X Mavericks 10.9.4, but I'd deleted my copy of Mavericks, and 10.9 is the only copy I could get my hands on. I could try Yosemite, but I dislike it, and I'm already running it on my MacBook Air and I thing the OS is a disaster.

What could be the cause of this problem? What should I do to get the issue resolved?

Forgot to mention, these are my BIOS settings:

1. Press F7 to load optimized defaults
2. Set xHCI mode to Auto
3. Disable xHCI and EHCI Hand-off
4. Set Init Display First to IGFX
5. Change Internal Graphics Memory size to 512MB (This can be changed to 1024MB later)
6. Disable Wake-on-LAN
7. Enable High Precision Event Timer
8. Set XMP to Profile1
9. Disable VT-d

I tried with OS X 10.9.5 instead, and I still get the error: http://i.imgur.com/1ni4wJt.jpg.

I've Googled about this problem, and searched on this forum and a couple others, and none of the questions regarding this problem have had any useful responses. It'd be great if this question could get a response.

I've tried once again using OS X 10.9.5. I installed OS X onto my drive using a SATA to USB converter, then I booted into the drive on my MacBook and installed "Graphics Patch for Mixed Configurations" using MultiBeast. Then, I can boot OS X on my Hackintosh using UniBeast. I tried installing Chimera using UniBeast, which got me the boot0 error. I followed this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/65706-boot0-error-official-guide.html and that error went away, but I get the FireWire error again when I try booting via Chimera.
I installed only those two things using MultiBeast, Chimera and Graphics Patch for Mixed Configurations, nothing else.
After the FireWire error, I can still boot fine using the UniBeast stick.
I'm pretty desperate here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have FireWire device on your build??

I have a FireWire port, no FireWire device though. And I've never had this error before.

I managed to get it running Mavericks 10.9.5 finally. I didn't have to disable FireWire in the BIOS. These are the guides I followed:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/65706-boot0-error-official-guide.html

And I'm attaching my MultiBeast configuration below, in the hopes that it might help someone else in the future.

I've got graphics, sound, power management, and anything else I can think of is running.
