Hi fellow hackers im a noobie builder, having sold my 4 year old 21.5 iMac I have just built the below machine pretty much got it all working oob however the firewire pci is giving me a headache.
I have tried 2 cards being a Nec and a Siig, both work ok if you connect after boot but I get KP if they are connected prior to booting. The firewire device is a Focusrite Saffire (old type)
The Kp is coming up with iousbfamilly or something..Im not sure what part of the KP I need to look for to spot where the issue is.
Any help much appreciated... Oh I have trawled the forums for a definitive answer but as Im a noob I dont understand all the info that well.
And for the recored this Hackintosh flies compared to my iMac 21.5 C2D lol.
