Firewire card?

This is Nagaraju,

My configuration :

Motherboard : Intel DH55PJ
Processor : i3-540
HD : 500 GB Sata
Firewire : Quantum QHM4900-FW-4P PCI Parallel Card
DVD-RW
RAM : 2GB DDR3 1333 ghz

I was installed successfully with iboot+multibeast+snow leopard retail dvd
All are working perfectly except the firewire card.
It is not detected
Is it sufficient firewire card for this mother board or not ?.
Please give me some suggestions.
