Final Cut constantly crashing

I understand final cut does not run the best on an Nvidia build, but I was not expecting it to crash every 10 minutes or so. I am starting to wonder if there is a config setting or something that I need to turn on/off which is causing the instability? Here are my specs:

• Intel 8700k 6 core
• Nvidia 1080ti
• 64gb Ram
• High Sierra 10.13.2
• Latest version of Final Cut

Is there anything I should be checking to see why this is happening?
