Hi,
I recently upgraded OSX from 10.9.5 to 10.12.6 (my GTX660 prevented me from going to High Sierra). I have got everything up and running incl. sleep, speedstep, ... . The only thing that drives me crazy is that FCP 10.4 crashes when I go to "Preferences" - "Editing" (The other Preferences submenus does work). After a FCP crash the app will already crash when opening "Preferences" unless I remove the preferences files using Option-Command when opening the app. Using the video editor seems stable and this problem does not occur when opening the program under another user account. Thus, there must be a file with corrupt settings hidden somewhere .... but where. The problem remains also when only a new Library is active and old library are upgraded. The old 10.9.5 SSD is formatted.
I hope somebody has a clue to this mysterious problem
