Using a Asus Z490m plus. Also had a Corsair 280mm AIO setup that my son didn't want anymore (he kept the fans).
Tried Cinebench R23 and the temp of the 10100 was 62C and the 10700k was 82C max temps. Idle for the 10100 is 32C and at 36C for the 10700k. Kind of surprised.
Prefer the 10100 for temps, low power and had it sitting here waiting for a purpose in the world.
Was bored and wondered if it would work. It did. Overkill for a 10100 and about right for a 10700k- I don't overclock, didn't test it.
