Thanks Adrian. Don't seem to be able to get the usb Ethernet to work so will probably just wait to order a network adapter. So don't think I'll need that.

See if the E2200 will work with iBoot Haswell first.

If it does not, you might try downloading the Yosemite MultiBeast and installing only the E2200 networking kext. Use MacIASL to repair permissions and rebuild caches after installing any kexts, then reboot.

No luck with the E2200. Then multibeast Yosemite / macIASL won't work on 10.6 it seems.

Wifi fi card should arrive in a couple of days anyway. We were planning to get one anyway just didn't to start with to save money.

Can then try again with e2200 when got whole system up to date and working generally how we need it.

DPCIManager will work and allow you to repair permissions and rebuild cache:

You can download the 10.6.8 combo update on a windows machine - move it via a USB drive and run the update to save some time.

Oh well, doesn't find the tp-link n900 PCI wireless card either.

Maybe we broke it putting it in :D

Installing the combo update sorted it. Maybe there was something really basic I wasn't doing and the update cleared it up.

Now the fun begins...

Doesn't seem to be so fun afterall. :headbang:

Stuck on booting the Yosemite installation. Apple logo booting screen flashes up then computer restarts.

Probably either motherboard not setup right (can't find cfg-lock in settings, maybe bios needs updating) or need to enter some advanced boot options...

Have a look at the following thread to see if it helps with your hardware settings:

Make sure that you also use a USB2 port at the rear of the computer - the ones closest to any PS/2 ports tend to be best.
