Hi guys,

Just to inform that HP have updated BIOS for almost all his laptop's lines.
I checked for 4x30, 4x40 and 8x70p models, but should be for the others too.

Please remember: After BIOS or hardware update, is recommended to re-patch DSDT following proper guides.

Thanks!

Yesterday I updated my Elitebook 8560p from F42 to F.50 REV. A. I´m using 10.9.4 with clover. Two problems are solved: I dont have reboots on wake-up anymore and reboot from Mavericks is also working.

I can't download sp68111.exe, can anyone upload it somewhere?

Code:

Site seems broken. Contact HP.

No problem updating my ProBook 4540s.

There are changes to the native DSDT in this version (from F.43), so be sure to re-patch DSDT.

I'm about to update the BIOS on my 4530s but I'm not sure about one thing - if I remember correctly, the usb stick that will be used for updating the BIOS (as I don't have Windows installed) cannot be bigger than a certain amount of space. What was it? And what does the procedure look like - do I have to partition it manually (if so, how exactly? fat32 on mbr?) or does the .exe "installer" do it by itself? I've never done this so I'd appreciate any further info.

Be interested in how you do it without windows, I'm in the same position.

In the past, I've used an old 64mb stick I have around.

Thanks!
