Hey again, I was wondering how to go about getting the esata to work? Is there just a specific kext I need to install using kextbest?

I can't seem to find anything in the forums, although I'm sure it's here somewhere.

I have OSX 10.6.8 if that makes much difference.

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked in MultiBeast/Drivers/Kexts/Disk/JMicron/eSATA.kext

Install with system utilities.

Perhaps a foolish question, but...

In my Extras folder I have both the eSata & Sata kexts. Is it possible to set some drives to be eSata and some to be Internal?

I have three hard drives that I want to be internal, but I have one that I want as hot-swappable. Right now they all "appear" to be internal (gray icons), but when I open Disk Utility and look at the details they say external.

What I'd like is for all but the hot-swap drive to be internal, and then the hot-swap drive to be external (appear as orange on my desktop). When I want to "hot-swap" it now I must open Disk Utility and unmount the disk.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the esata port/s first to see if it work/s? in my Gigabyte board they work OOB with any kext needed whatsoever.
