This sounds like you have a hardware error in one of your Ram sticks

Have you tried to re-seat the ram sticks / or clean the sockets contacts w a crisp clean dollar bill - don't laugh it works.
It don't matter if its a 1,2,5,10,20 as long as it is not a 3 dollar bill. (lol)
No this trick does work, really something in the fabric of the money cleans contacts on edge connectors like ram sticks.
A few swipes is all you need to do. But it must be a new bill.
If you don't have monies handy you can use a "pink eraser" but Do not rub to hard.

You may need to remove and test them in pairs to see if you can find the error.

Optionally you can run some memory diagnostics such as memtestx86. Do suggest that you have a cd w DOS that you can boot from. As many of these are DOS based.

Also you state that your OSX version is LION - if so you posted into the wrong Support Forum this is for Snow Leopard.

so you only have two sticks of ram.

You may want to swapp the slots to see if the memory address that fails changes - this would tell you that one of the sticks is bad.
