Error after installation

It could be that your config.plist is corrupt. As you can get to the desktop, mount the EFI partition with Clover Configurator or your preferred method. Recreate or install a new config.plist from the installation guide and test. If you edit the plist, use Clover Configurator or a plist editor of your choice.

Just tried that, doesn't work. I still need nv_disable=1, and if I don't I get the spinning wheel and doesn't go from there. I tried Yosemite and installed with no problems.

Why isn't my config.plist assuming my changes on my EFI partition? I have changed nv_disable=1 from boot but still doesn't assume that, I always have to insert it.
Am I doing something wrong? It's saved on EFI/config.plist, is that the correct place to save it? And sometimes I get the warning: "The document "config.plist" is on a volume that does not support permanent version storage."

Ok, could you boot with just -v and take a picture of where the boot hangs/stops and post it here.

Secondly if you have the correct cables, digital only; DVI/HDMI/DP could you try different ports from your card to monitor.

Ok, -v is boot in verbose mode correct? If it is then I he does all the checks and at the end I get to a black screen with a small "-" on my upper left corner blinking once in a while. As for other cables, tried HDMI and my 2 DVI ports, same thing.

Yes if you installed in UEFI mode thats the correct place to find it. You will always get that message but have the ability to tick the little box so it doesn't show every time. Could you upload your config.plist here?

Yes its verbose. That rules out one defective port. Not sure on the "-" though.

That's my config.plist.

Now for some reason I am able to boot with nvda_drv=1 and get the drivers to work but I have to change them on the icon, and the sound stopped working now.

Quick question, how can I boot directly to El Capitan without going to the selection menu on clover? Want to use that after solving the boot problem.

Thank you for your help btw, I'm almost there!

Ok, did you set the SMBIOS to iMac 15,1? As far as I'm aware this definition conflicts with the graphics display policy. Set it iMac 14,2 and test boot.

If you open Clover Configurator or your editor, under Boot > Default Volume > type in the name of your installation drive.

THANK YOU! Everything is working now! All good, the boot, the graphic card, the sound, everything.

Just one more question, is it possible to set nvidia web driver as default when I boot?

Thanks!

You're welcome. nvda_drv=1 is supposed to disable the native drivers and load the nVidia web drivers. It may be beneficial to you to check the app or start a thread in the Graphics Forum.

Yes, I enter nvda_drv=1 and the screen goes black with the wheel spinning and the mouse pointer showing up once in a while and doesn't go from there, I let it do that for about an hour but it doesn't do anything.

I had this problem when Integrated Graphics were disabled in the BIOS. When I enabled integrated graphics in the BIOS (and left config.plist inject intel=true) but just plugged my monitor into my Nvidia card, then it worked fine. I have never found a working configuration with integrated graphics disabled in BIOS, though others have reported it works on different hardware.
