Hi,

I have no trouble with HDMI cables, but when using VGA, the gray apple screen will freeze forever.

This is the error code:
WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUTil : getCPUIDInfo ; this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a
---power management may be incomplete or unsupported

Only safe mode -x works.

How can I make VGA compatible?

System:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H Micro ATX LGA1150
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333
Hard Drive: Western Digital WD Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM

Apple do not use VGA, therefore there is no support for VGA.

Apple? What about a Hackintosh! If safe mode works, why it cannot be implemented.

Enlighten me.

Its been obsolete in OS X since Mountain lion. That will not change.

It will remain in existing technology for some time to come. OS X supports and utilises digital connectors such as HDMI, DVI-D and DisplayPort - if you must use VGA with OS X then consider a HDMI>VGA adaptor or using a discrete GPU. There is no guarantee that it will work. If it does work, then be prepared as it might stop working one day.

With a Hackintosh you are emulating a real Apple machine using Apple's Operating System (OS X).

Still I would like a clarification why Safe Mode works with VGA on the go, and normal boot does not.

It is *safe mode* - it is not loading any kexts (drivers) - so no conflict, but its not workable which is why computers use hardware supported by drivers.

Here is a link from Apple - its obviously aimed at those using Apple computers:
