Enable Retina Display on your Hackintosh

Has anyone tried this? It worked for me but the resolutions are too low

You can simply enable HiDPI by running sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool YES; in Terminal

If it works like you/I think it might, you get a headache trying to read text on the screen

Retina options don't really make sense on a hack yet. There are not any displays with the resolution to make it useful. Desktop monitors don't have anything close and only this laptop, http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/17/toshiba-announces-premium-kirabook/, announced but not yet shipping, has a "retina" display.
