To link the photos into the "Desktop Pictures" stream, without incurring any storage costs (man ln) run the following command:
for i in /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.Framework/Versions/A/Resources/Default\ Collections/*; do sudo ln "$i/"* /Library/Desktop\ Pictures/; done

That way, these high res files can be mixed in with the others.

I love these pictures! I use them for my backgrounds in all of my spaces.
