El Capitan - Sleep not working

Opened new thread as requested.

Problem. Click Apple/Sleep - computer does not sleep. Displays switch off but hard drive activity continues and power stays on.

Here is the output from pmset -g assertions:

Did you implement power management. Check also to see if it is instant wake. Check system.log for "Wake reason". Keep in mind sleep is delayed by 15-20 seconds after Apple->Sleep.
 
I'm having the same issue. The displays goes to sleep but not the computer. I'm not implementing any power management since I never did and never had this issue before nor on Mavericks or Yosemite. Please help since this is very annoying. Thanks in advance rehabman!!

I also have the problem of my el capitan machine not wanting to sleep.
I used to work before, but all of the sudden it doesn't anymore.
